Location & Maps
The Philippines is comprised of over 7000 islands and is the second largest archipelago in the world. Boracay, famous for its beautiful White Beach and colourful coral reefs, is a small laidback island in the western Visayas (central islands) region of the country, just off the north-western tip of Panay.
From the Philippines’ capital of Manila it is just a 1 hour flight to Caticlan (Aklan province on Panay), which is the closest airport to Boracay island. From Caticlan airport it is a 5 minute tricycle ride to the local jetty port then a quick 15 minute banca boat ride to Cagban beach, the new port for arrivals and departures on Boracay.
Boracay island is 7km long and just 1km wide at its narrowest point, with most of the action taking place on and around the 3km stretch of White Beach. CALYPSO DIVING RESORT is located in the centre of Boracay’s White Beach near boat station 3.
